This summer has been a whirlwind and flown by, and this is the second to last challenge of #BoundlessChallenge2k18<\/a>. Congrats to those who have been keeping up with it!<\/p>\n

Have you ever been caught off guard to hear that someone is praying for you? It happened to me recently. I was texting a mentor, catching up, and his last text was, “Well we’re praying for you.” It was simple but impactful. I sat back and smiled, thanking God for the people He’s put in my life.\u00a0Has someone ever approached you, held a conversation and then asked to be in prayer for you? It’s simple, but how often do we do it?<\/p>\n

Week six starts now!<\/p>\n

Challenge #5 details:<\/strong> Commit to pray for someone at your church who\u2019s not your peer. Pick someone who\u2019s either younger or older than you. First, ask this person how you can pray for him or her, and then commit to pray for that person every day for a week, then follow-up the next week.<\/p>\n

Photo guidelines:<\/strong> Take a photo with the person you committed to praying for. Make sure you post it on Instagram and remember to tag @BoundlessTeam<\/a> and use #BoundlessChallenge2k18<\/a>. Be creative with captions, camera angles and filters! To be eligible to win this week\u2019s prize (a Boundless T-shirt!), post your photo before next Monday, July 30.<\/p>\n

Lifetime of Prayer<\/h3>\n

Prayer has always been a part of my life. Like a lot of parents, mine prayed for a child. When I was born, they prayed for my development. As I began to speak, they prayed with me. Finally, as they would put my brother and me to bed, we would all pray together.<\/p>\n

But it became repetitive and mundane; my brother and I would race to see who could finish\/say their prayers the fastest. We would pray for our family and missionaries and the students they were ministering to. Sometimes it became mundane and we forgot that God could use them.<\/p>\n

This past year, I attended a conference where one of the missionaries who we had prayed for was speaking. He had served in Belgium and brought with him two students who shared their testimonies. God had used our prayers.<\/p>\n

Throughout Paul’s letters, he wrote to the believers about how he was continually praying for them. Likewise, we should be praying for others. And we can be confident that God hears our prayers, as\u00a01 John 5:14<\/a>\u00a0says.<\/p>\n
