This is it \u2014 the final week of\u00a0#BoundlessChallenge2k18<\/a>. Will you participate? Will you push yourself?<\/p>\n

Week seven starts now!<\/p>\n

Challenge #7 details:<\/strong>\u00a0Volunteer for an organization, a friend or family. Maybe volunteer with the local rescue mission, soup kitchen, crisis pregnancy center. Or find a way to volunteer and serve your church: helping in the church nursery, being a greeter. Or see how you can help the elderly or busy moms in your church.<\/p>\n

Photo guidelines:<\/strong>\u00a0Take a photo showing us where you volunteered. Make sure you post it on Instagram and remember to tag\u00a0@BoundlessTeam<\/a>\u00a0and use\u00a0#BoundlessChallenge2k18<\/a>. Be creative with captions, camera angles and filters! To be eligible to win this week\u2019s prize (a Boundless T-shirt!), post your photo before next Monday, August 6.<\/p>\n

To go above and beyond,<\/strong>\u00a0commit to volunteer in the same way within the next month.<\/p>\n

Volunteering Your Time<\/h3>\n

I once had the opportunity to go on a short term mission\u2019s trip to Los Angeles. We helped the Union Rescue Mission serve homeless people living on Skid Row. I had a lot of expectations and ideas of what our time in LA would look like, but God had other plans.<\/p>\n

Day one at the Union Rescue Mission, we did some maintenance on the building, then sat down and talked with those who came in for meals. It was simple, yet having gospel-driven conversations with the people of Skid Row changed my outlook and left me fulfilled. Many of them knew the life-transforming power of faith in Jesus and were there to help others on the street.<\/p>\n

Many of the people we met were so full of life and hope while living in poverty. It was such a joy to give my time in service to them because of the joy and true thankfulness they displayed. One of the highlights of the trip was babysitting children while their mothers attended classes to help them obtain quality jobs.<\/p>\n

The week on Skid Row left me drained yet I\u2019ve never felt so satisfied. I flew to LA, expecting to evangelize to those there, yet I left feeling like they had given more to me than I had given them.<\/p>\n

Mark 10:45<\/a> says,<\/p>\n

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
